About Mountain Wellness Collective

The Collective is a community‑based mental health wellness collective serving Hinton, Jasper, Edson, and virtual clients within Alberta. At its core, the collective exists for two connected purposes:

Connecting People with Local Providers

Helping Albertans connect with local, accessible mental health support.

Support Local Providers

Mental health work thrives in connection. By bringing providers together in a shared space, the collective supports thoughtful referrals, collaboration, and a more connected mental health landscape for both clients and clinicians.

For People Looking for Mental Health Services

Finding the right mental health support can feel overwhelming, especially in smaller or rural communities where options may feel limited or unclear. The collective’s directory is designed to make that process easier.

Our provider directory brings together independent psychologists and mental health practitioners offering a range of services, specialties, and therapeutic approaches. Providers serve the local communities of Hinton, Jasper, and Edson, as well as individuals accessing care through virtual sessions.

Each provider maintains their own independent practice. The collective is a central place to explore options, learn about different services, and find practitioners whose approach and availability may be a good fit.

Through collaboration within the collective, providers have a stronger understanding of one another’s practices, making referrals more informed and aligned with individual needs.

What You’ll Find Here:

  • A directory of local and virtual mental health providers

  • Clear descriptions of services and therapeutic approaches

  • A range of practice styles, specialties, and modalities

  • A community‑focused approach to care and referrals

For Psychologists and Mental Health Practitioners

The collective is also a professional support and collaboration network for psychologists and mental health practitioners. Mental health work can be meaningful, demanding, and at times isolating, particularly in smaller communities or independent practice.

The collective is not a group practice. Members maintain full autonomy over their own practices, clients, clinical decisions, and business structures. Participation is centered on collaboration, mutual respect, and shared learning. Being part of the collective helps practitioners better understand one another’s areas of focus and approaches, supporting thoughtful referrals and continuity of care for clients across the region.

Our Values

The collective is grounded in shared values that guide both community engagement and professional connection:

  • Collaboration over competition

  • Respect for professional autonomy and diversity of practice

  • Ethical, client‑centred care

  • Community connection and rural access to support
